Overview
Portside is a 170-unit multi-family project at 175 Duncan Street in New Westminster, BC. Jas Construction Ltd. delivered the framing scope in partnership with Anthem Duncan Developments LP in 2022.
The work covered wood-frame framing of the structures, with floor and roof assemblies coordinated against the engineer’s drawings and the trades following behind. At 170 units, material staging and lift scheduling were planned around the site so production stayed steady across the building. The framing scope is complete.
Scope of work
- Wood-frame framing of the residential structures, floor by floor.
- Engineered floor and roof assemblies, sequenced with the mechanical rough-ins.
- Pre-construction coordination with the developer and design team.
- On-site supervision and daily quality checks by an in-house superintendent.
- Coordination of openings and backing for the envelope, mechanical and electrical trades.
