Overview
South Yards Tower A is a 790-unit multi-family project at 4572 Dawson Street in Burnaby, BC. Jas Construction Ltd. is delivering the framing scope in partnership with Anthem Properties. It is the largest active project in the Jas portfolio and is currently on site.
At 790 units, the framing is organized as a floor-by-floor sequenced operation across a large footprint. Material staging is planned around the building pad to keep crews supplied without disrupting the site or the trades working in parallel. Lift scheduling is coordinated to match the pace of the engineer’s floor and roof assembly sequence, so the mechanical and envelope trades can follow without waiting. An in-house superintendent oversees the work daily and maintains a single point of contact with the Anthem project team. The gallery below is updated as the build progresses.
Scope of work
- Wood-frame framing of the residential structures, floor by floor.
- Engineered floor and roof assemblies, sequenced with the mechanical rough-ins.
- Pre-construction coordination with the developer and design team.
- On-site supervision and daily quality checks by an in-house superintendent.
- Coordination of openings and backing for the envelope, mechanical and electrical trades.
