Overview
Oak & Onyx, in Surrey, BC, brought together a 173-unit multi-family build at 13968 Laurel Drive & 13969 96 Avenue. Jas Construction Ltd. provided framing for ML Emporio Homes Ltd. in 2023.
In-house carpenters handled the framing across the build, keeping layout accurate from the first walls so every floor above inherited true reference lines. At 173 units, material staging and lift scheduling were planned around the site so production stayed steady across the building. The framing scope is complete.
Scope of work
- Wood-frame framing of the residential structures, floor by floor.
- Engineered floor and roof assemblies, sequenced with the mechanical rough-ins.
- Pre-construction coordination with the developer and design team.
- On-site supervision and daily quality checks by an in-house superintendent.
- Coordination of openings and backing for the envelope, mechanical and electrical trades.
